Rihanna Performing Her New Song 'Stay'

Ok so the quality is not amazing but I'm afraid being from the UK I could not view the official version. But anyway here is the song 'Stay' from the new Rihanna Album, Unapologetic. This is the sort of song I love from her, yes the party songs are great but I do love it when she slows in down and uses minimalistic acoustics and relies mainly on her voice, which is to be frank, beautiful at times and can be hidden amongst all the horns and random computer sounds that come with her party songs. So to see her performing this is a very welcome change, please sit down, relax and enjoy the performance from SNL the other night.

Review Of Looper

Today's review is of the latest Bruce Willis action flick, Looper. The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt.

The film is in the year 2044 but also spends a fair amount of its time in 2074. The idea is basically that in 2074 when the mob wants someone killed they are sent back in time to be dealt with so that there is no trace of them come the year 2074, and so it is that Joe played by Levitt is confronted with killing his older self, played play Bruce Willis, when he is sent back in time. A moments hesitation and his future self is away and so the game of cat and mouse ensues.

That is honestly the most that I knew before I went in and the most that I want to give away before you enter the cinema to watch the film. What came after what I have explained was quite brilliant. Before I watched the film my brother had told me that it is not what you expect the film to be about and for the main part I agree with him, Looper had a lot more romance in that I ever thought was going to be involved and the characters are all just fantastic and you do begin to care about each one and want to know more about them.

The film has some of the best action and CGI scenes that I have seen this year and I did catch my mouth being ajar at a couple of points which is usually a pretty good sign of my enjoyment. The cast all did a fantastic job, Bruce did what he did best while Levitt continued to provide evidence that he will be one of our generations finest actors, however I was massively impressed by Emily Blunt who played a very caring mother who can kick ass when needed. She was a huge screen presence who produced some of the best acting I have seen from her so far, her emotion really hit home and I couldn't help but hope for her and her son to get through this film ok. Speaking of her son, Pierce Gagnon has one very bright future ahead of him, a thoroughly excellent performance from the 5 year old.

As you may have guessed I enjoyed this film, granted it has plenty of flaws but since no-one really knows the ins and outs of time travel just yet I am willing to look past them so that I can be be entertained by a blooming good film.

Rating - 8/10
